DILOROM SAYDAMINOVA, embarking on an independent creative path in the late 1960s, ac­tively joins the musical-social life of Uzbekistan. Characterizing her large and many-sided activity, it can be said that the M artistic credo of D.Saydaminova implies such purposes as pithi­ness, high professionalism, a search for the ways of organic entrance of the national music lan­guage into international world of music.

D.Saydaminova (born in Tashkent in 1943) after finishing the music-school named af­ter E.Uspenski, entered the Tashkent State Con­servatory named after M.Ashrafi, going to be specialized in piano (class of Prof. A.M.Litvinov) and composition (class of B.I.Zeidman). From 1968 to 1971 D.Saydaminova increases her pro­fessional level in the assistance-probation under the supervision of B.I.Zeidman.

The bent of the young composer to the instrumental music was already determined in her student days. D.Saydaminova is the author of two symphonies, two concertos for piano and orches­tra, overtures, symphonic poems. The composer's works for piano, which possess a firm place in the concert and pedagogic repertoire of pianists, are very popular. These works are "The Walls of Ancient Bukhara", "The Frescos of Afrasiab" series, "Dedication to the Poet", "Poem" concerto pieces, sonatina and lots of miniatures.

D.Saydaminova also fruitfully works in the field of cinema music, variety song and vocal-chorus music

A successful participation, ill the inter­national competition of composers in Basel (1998), where D.Saydaminova was awarded the 2nd prize for the "Following in Francesca’s trace” chamber-vocal composition, witnesses the great creative potential of the composer.

HABIBULLA RAKHIMOV (born in Tajikistan, in 1946) graduated the Tashkent State Conservatory in 1974, specialized on com­position under supervision of B.Gienko, and then continued his Master’s degree under supervision of prof. B.Zeidman. Since 1995 H.Rakhimov is the Secretary of the Union of Composers of Uzbekistan.

H.Rakhimov is the author of more than 150 compositions, such as two operas – "The Heart of Mother", “Alpomish and Oybarchin”, two musical dramas - "Mushkil savdo" and "Parvona", three symphonies, seven Concerts, four oratories – “Osvensum”, “Bahouddin Balogardon”, “Independent”, “Sohibqiron abadiyati” symphonic overtures, poems and fantasies, Concertino for piano and chamber orchestra, compositions for brass band, Uzbek chamber orchestra, more than 50 songs and romances, and songs for children and etc.

The concerto genre possesses a particular place among orchestra compositions. In par­ticular, a concerto-fantasy for organ, strings and percussion, a concerto-poem for vocal and symphony orchestra, a concerto for violin and chamber orchestra, a concertino for Violoncello and chamber orchestra witness the constant and great attention of the author to controversial forms of music.

H.Rakhimov often and fruitfully applies to the samples of Eastern classic poetry, as well as to the verses of modern Uzbek authors. His series of romances, solo, choruses, as well as chil­dren’s songs are notable for the sincerity of expression, the novelty of perusal and the candour of embodiment of the image. Mainly, the composer is attracted by eternal themes, such as love faithfulness, natural landscapes, the love to the Motherland Applying to exciting historical and modern events; the composer takes the means of expression from national sources of music, com­bining them with the search of new original ways of solution of creative problems. It was no acci­dent that his artistically valuable compositions of different genres many times were successfully performed in the neighboring countries of Central Asia, as well as in Russia, Bulgaria, France and Japan.

The experienced composer, having a broad knowledge, ability and skill to compose music in various genres, combines his creative activity with systematic pedagogic work, working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Com­position at the Tashkent State Conservatory in the latter years, as well as with broad and active social acivity. MUKHAMMAD OTAJONOV (born in Urgench in 1959), graduated from the Tashkent State con­servatory, having specialized in piano (class of N.Gienko) and composition (class of Prof. B.Gienko). M.Otajonov is the author of two concertos for piano and symphony orchestra, the сomposers of 3 movements for kanun and folk instruments or­chestra, and three stage compositions: l-"If eve­ryone were faithful" (Babur) (1992), 2-"Who will light my light?", 3-"Amorous hearts" tragicomedy (1994).

Famous chamber compositions of M.Otadjonov are 12 preludes for piano, four so­natas, "Ecstasy" for cello and piano. "Impromptu”, “Toccata” for violin and piano, the Suite of 3 movements for string quartet and symphony orchestra, "The Views of Khiva". The composer composed "The set of pieces for piano" dedicated to children, songs for children's chorus, songs for children's chorus a'cappella dedicated to children, and also wrote the music to "Sin" film. He was a laureate of the Young Composers competition (1985). In 1994 he was a prize-winner of the "Uzbekistan – my Motherland" competition. He is the author of more than 100 songs.

DILOROM OMONULLAEVA (born in Tashkent in 1959), the Honoured Art Worker of Uzbekistan (2006), was awarded the “Dustlik” (“Friendship”). She graduated from assistance-probation at the Tashkent State Conservatory (1990) and the Academy of State and Society Building (1998).

D.Omonullaeva is one of the talented representatives of the young composers’ generation. She attempts to realize her creative interests in various stylish trends. Such large compositions as two symphonies, a concerto for piano and orchestra, a chorus series on the verses of O.Khayyom, two vocal-symphonic odes witness the development of the composer. D.Omonullaeva also pays attention to the chamber instrumental genre. Particularly, such compositions as three sonatas for piano, the Polyphonic book, “The landscape of Samarkand” are notable for their rich decorative properties and the variety of means of expression of the piano. It can also be mentioned that D.Omonullaeva works in the sphere of children's music. More than 100 songs, dedicated to children, such as "ABC songs" and "Puzzle songs", are appreciated by young audi­ence. However, the most distinguished achieve­ments of the composer are related with variety songs: She created more than 80 compositions in this genre. Her songs, resting on Uzbek classic poetry (Navoi, Nodira) and verses of modern po­ets (Azimov, Muminova, Jabbarov), managed to gain the love of the audience for their sincerity, contemporaneity and having a vivid national sole. The songs of the composer are entered on reper­toire of famous singers, such as K.Razzakova, K.Kayumov, M.Oynakulova, A.Rahimova, M.Imamova, etc. In the latter years D.Omonullaeva becomes famous as the master of song in the world. Her song on the verses of U.Azimov, dedicated to the International Music Festival "Sharq Taronalari" in 1997, became the anthem of that festival.

FARKHAD ALIMOV (1947-2014) graduated from Tashkent State Conservatory named after M.Ashrafi having specialized in folk instruments in 1970, and on composition in 1979; assistant professor.

The creative work of F.Alimov - fa­mous Uzbek composer - comprises various gen­res. The composer successfully works in the field of symphonic, chamber-instrumental music, as well as in musical-stage genres, writes songs and music to dramatic performances. Musical-stage opuses, such as "Fatima and Zukhra", "Nodirabegim", "Soyib khoja operation", created by him, have greatly contributed to the develop­ment of musical theatre in Uzbekistan, and were highly appreciated by listeners. Another success­ful sphere of the composer's work is the music to dramatic performances. Particularly, a long stage life of such performances as "King Lear", "Electra", "Wonderful evening" was provided by not only a vivid literal dramatic composition of these works, but also a worthy participation of music.

F.Alimov pays a great attention to the song genre. Popular singers of Uzbekistan enter his songs on their repertoire with pleasure; the composer was also rewarded the title of laureate at many republic song competitions.

In latter years F.Alimov takes an active part in organization of prestige cultural arrange­ments. Among them we should particularly men­tion his role as a composer in music program’s, dedicated to the 660th anniversary of Amir Temur, 600th anniversary of Mirzo Ulugbek, 2500th anniversary of Bukhara, and at the music festival "Sharq taronalari" ("Melodies of East"). The name of F. Alimov is also popular in the general public in the light of television. He composed the music to such videofilms as "Yusuf and Zulayho" and "Scorpio from altar", beloved by the audience.

The music of F.Alimov is successfully performed not only in Uzbekistan, but also abroad. Working fruitfully as an assistant profes­sor at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, the com­poser passes his creative experience to the youth.
