UNION OF COMPOSERS AND BASTAKORS OF UZBEKISTAN

 

AVAZ MANSUROV (born in Kokand in 1957) studied at the faculty of composition (class of Prof. B.Zeidman), then continued his education as a post-graduate student (class of F.Yanov-Yanovsky) at the Tashkent State Conservatory. He is a member of the Union of Composers of Uzbekistan, and the Chairman of the Youth Creative Association. The products of A.Mansurov's creative work in 1986, such as two operas, two symphonies, musical dramas and comedies, symphonic poem, five overtures, can­tata, concerto for piano and orchestra, chamber instrumental compositions, variety songs, have their own style. The composer greatly contributed to the development of the children's music genres, which is witnessed by more than 100 songs, about 10 "musical tales", music to a number of performances for Young Spectator's and Doll Theatres, and a symphony with the participation of children's chorus, all composed by him.

A.Mansurov fulfills his creative work side by side with the pedagogic one at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan for many years. He is also the Secretary of the Union of Composers of Uzbekistan.

A.Mansurov was a laureate of Uzbekistan's Youth Prize in 1986, and was awarded the Diploma of Uzbekistan, as well as diplomas and rewards of the Ministry of People's Education and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
